COOKIE OF THE WEEK: Heath Bar PB & Chocolate Chip Cookies

This cookie is from a recipe on the back of a bag of Heath Bits made by Hershey’s.

Instead of smooth, I used chunky peanut butter. I also added dark chocolate chips which the recipe did not call for, but it was a nice addition.

I will make these again.

Heath Bar Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookies

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt (I omitted this as my peanut butter had salt in it.)
1 pkg. of Hershey’s Heath Bits-8 oz.
1 pkg. of dark chocolate chips-8 oz.

Mix butter and peanut butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.

Add egg and blend.

Combine flour and baking soda and stir into peanut butter mixture.

Add Heath Bits.

Add chocolate chips.

Refrigerate dough for a few hours or over night.

Preheat 375.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls  and bake for 7 to 10 minutes.
